It’s hard not to bump into this spindly iron tower thingy while you’re in Paris. It bobs up seductively between trees and buildings as you walk the banks of the Seine; magnetic, beckoning you closer. But how to photograph it?
To answer that question look no further than the hordes of hawkers and who breathlessly jangle up to you with arm loads of lurid toy Eiffel towers and fists full of - yes you guessed it - selfie sticks.
Somehow I resisted their charms and instead wondered how little of the famous tower you could show in a photo, and still be in no doubt you are looking at this grande “Dame de Fer”.
