Eiffel

It’s hard NOT to bump into this spindly iron tower thing while you’re in Paris. It bobs up seductively between trees and buildings as you walk along the Seine. It's magnetic, beckoning you closer. But how best to photograph it?

To help you answer that question, look no further than the hordes of street vendors who jangle around you, laden with plastic toy Eiffels and fists full of selfie-sticks to help you get the perfect shot.

Somehow I resisted their charms and instead I wondered how little of the famous tower you could show in a photo, and still be in no doubt you are looking at the grande “Dame de Fer”.
