The Abbey Morgeot

Being both a wine photographer and wine lover, it doesn’t get much better than being in Burgundy in the heart of perhaps the greatest wine region in the world. The vista’s are stunning; the Cote d’Or stretched out before you, dotted with ancient stone walls and historic villages.

 

Then of course enjoying the best Pinot served with regional foods in the very place where it was all grown and made. Superbe!

 

I’m also a cyclist, so renting a bike for the week was by far the best way to experience the region's peaceful back roads, where I the found the historic Abbey Morgeot, now deserted but sitting proudly amongst the vines.
