Biography

There are two stories to tell here. One is what qualifies me to be a photographer and the second is what sort of person takes pictures like this anyway.

I have been taking pictures all my life. My first job was working in rural newspapers as a journalist and photographer. The need to try and tell stories with images has stayed with me ever since. Don Brice Photography was started in 1989 and I have been a freelance photographer since.

Wine is one of my favorite hobbies.

I have been awarded ''Master of Photography'' via accumulation of Gold and Silver awards over the years by entering the AIPP National Print Awards and my work has been accepted into three ACMP Australian Photographer's Collections.

I love drinking strong coffee.

Commercial and editorial photography commissions have taken me to some of the most interesting places in the world, which for an insatiably curious person, is a real privilege.

I keep a blog called ''blurry thinking'' where I show work in progress and air odd musings about the world of photography.
